I didn’t know that—thanks for sharing. I can attest that döstädning is powerful. Six years ago, Lisa and I sold, donated, or threw away more than 70% of what we owned. It was liberating. Now, when I walk into my closet, the open space and empty hangers give me this quiet sense of simplicity and intentionality.

I ‘ve been hoarding a pile of scrap lumber in my garage with the intention of building a crate to use to store my scrap lumber. What’s wrong with that picture? 😀

The demons in the Gaderene had just gone into the herd of swine. The swine had just run off the cliff.

The ‘folks’ who owned the herd of now drown pigs showed up.

‘Ah…Jesus,, you gotta go.’

The Gaderene said ‘Jesus, may I follow you, please?’

Thank you, Kristina. Unfortunately, I have to throw myself into the pile of those who have done damage to Christianity. However, I'm ready to chart a new course and make up for lost time.

I support this new direction for your book 100%. As someone who grew up as a non-Christian, I believe Christians have done the most damage to Christianity. It wasn't until I met someone who was a true follower of Christ that I became a believer. I love this quote from John Wesley - “Give me 100 men who hate nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I will shake this world.” Thank you so much for having the courage to get this much-needed message out there!

You’re probably already aware of this but the Swedish have a custom called ‘dostadning,” or ‘Death Cleaning.’ The idea is to begin to purge your possessions in middle age. It’s not only practical but does have a spiritual dimension to it. Thank you kindly.
